COLLYWOOD AIMS TO BRING THE CARIBBEAN AND AFRICA TOGETHER.
When we heard about the Collywood launch, we were excited and at the same time optimistic. Collywood is the right step in the right direction. It has, already entertained hundreds and thousands of people across the globe.
Black owned enterprises are not fully financed by Major brands on their starting up and usually have to 'self-finance' or make the 'sales'.
This is one thing that does stunt the natural ability for a project to grow, and the same problem is also seen in the Nigerian sequel film Industry Nollywood Films.
But, we must learn and improve above all in the face of adversity. What can we do better? the answer is 'Support' people. Try and explore their Industry and make recommendations. This is how interest and momentum to 'take off' in the right direction really works.
Developing the Positive Black Cinematic experience is important at the moment in the UK. No, there is no high performing and high spec Black Cinema in the UK,
but rest assured there is the rise and rising of 'Collywood' Cinema. And unique purposeful projects like this is one reason why more needs to be done in our external savings investment projects, to ensure that we can promote as positive and forthcoming Black owned initiatives. It is not surprising that with the wide and growing Off licenses owned by Asians, and Indian Restaurants, Bollywood is fast being a phenomenon around the world in the Film and TV Industry.
At the moment Collywood is developing into a skilled based Filming Industry, however, we should all understand that,
we are starting not only at the bottom, but below the line of existence and completely minus funds and investment that every International movement ought to have including the Black U.S Presidency Administration. However, we can see that Collywood is making a start, If we want our own Industries to flourish, we need to take a few financial knocks to start with. But I'm sure it will certainly be worth the wait!
We should not give up, because there is no wonga in the bank, but rather get positive about putting transactions through conscious channels of business thats going to give you something positive to put back in the Community and one that is representative of your own Image such as COLLYWOOD Entertainment.
Junior.H started Collywood 12 years ago which has become the most Unique concept to hit the African and Caribbean. It is Making and marketing its own movies and Cine Soaps around the globe to an audience which enjoys and support this concept. Collywood is said to now be fast expanding into Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda.
